Everything you do more than once is a process
A SIPOC-sheet is a simple way to start mapping your processes. Before you go into deep Value Stream Mapping, this is a great way to visualize the basic parts and stakeholders in your process:
- Suppliers: who is giving input to your process?
- Input: what kind of input is being delivered?
- Process steps: what are the basic high-level steps in the process?
- Output: what is the main output generated by the process?
- Customer: who is the customer and what are their expectations?
